Warren Buffett was born to Howard Buffett and Leila Buffett, born Leila Stahl, as their only son. Howard Buffett was an American businessman, investor, and politician.

He also served four terms as the Republican United States Representative for the state of Nebraska. He and his wife had three children; Warren Buffett, Roberta Buffett Bialek, and Doris Buffett Bryant.

Doris Buffett is the oldest sister of Warren Buffett. She had been married four times.

She was an American philanthropist who was also known as the ‘retail’ philanthropist.

She was also the founder of The Sunshine Lady Foundation, The Learning By Giving Foundation, and The Letters Foundation. She co-founded The Letters Foundation alongside her younger brother.

She has published two books, Giving It All Away: The Doris Buffett Story, and Letters to Doris: One Woman’s Quest to Help Those With Nowhere Else to Turn.

Dorus Buffett passed away on August 4, 2020, at her home in Rockport, Maine at the age of 92.
